The Israeli Scouts in Los Angeles Volunteer with the children of Larger than Life

On October 11, the Larger than Life children of the West Coast Dream Trip spent an unforgettable day at Magic Mountain sponsored by the ILC. The Israeli Scouts of Shevet Chen and the children of Larger than Life instantly connected. One of Shevet Chen’s members expressed that it was “amazing to experience kids who are fighting everyday for their lives and yet were afraid to get on a rollercoaster.” The day concluded with a dinner of where the children enjoyed Israeli food. Saying goodbye was difficult for everyone. As stated by another Shevet Chen member this was “one of the most amazing experiences” he has had as part of the Tzofim. Knowing that they helped make a difference for these children was very fulfilling, others expressed. This spirit of volunteerism is part of the mission of the new ILC GIVING COMMUNITY, which seeks to foster volunteerism and the culture of giving.
