ILC contest to win a free ticket to Israel!

To celebrate Israel's 62nd Independence Day, the Israeli Leadership Council, in partnership with El Al Airlines, initiated an interactive contest on Facebook® called "My ISRAEL," where participants expressed their passion for Israel through personal photos and videos shared with the social networking community. To enter the contest, participants uploaded a photograph or video that represents their vision of Israel to the "My ISRAEL" group page, and the public voted on their favorites. The grand prize was a free round-trip ticket to Israel.

More than 1, 300 people joined the group, almost 300 entries were entered and thousands of people voted for the best piece. The winning entry was a video produced by Zoe Jurkowski, a student at Yula High School, which received 3,130 votes. The video was a 29 second clip of Yula students sharing what Israel means to them.

The goal of the contest was to utilize the power and reach of social networking to create a community of people who share their thoughts, passions and opinions of Israel.
