ILC-Care
joined forces with important organizations such as, Big Sunday, Send Me
A Penny, Stand By Me, and the Shalom Institute in order to offer a
variety of volunteer causes for people of all ages. We want to enable to
make a positive impact in the community. The program brought out 250
volunteers. The first event, the Big Sunday project included a special
docent lead tour at the Museum of Tolerance for members of the Substance
Abuse Foundation. In collaboration with Send Me A Penny, volunteers
spent the day feeding the homeless community in Venice Beach. The Stand
By Me partnership included a BBQ picnic with games, music, and more for
cancer patients and their families. Lastly, in collaboration with the
Shalom Institute, volunteers helped plant organic fruit and vegetables
for SOVA.
We
have 7 volunteers days planned in 2012-2013. We hope to see you there.
